How authors can support each other
“We worship a God who can multiply the loaves and fishes. We don't have to worry about scarcity. God is not a God of scarcity . . . There's no downside to lifting up other authors, to celebrating the wins of other authors, to champion and cheer other authors on, to be generous with our support . . . Anytime we can see our author friends launching books and projects, support them in those very practical ways. Share, cheer them on, pray for them, of course, and have this expansive perspective that anytime we celebrate anyone else, it's not taking away anything from anyone else. It's really just additive. And God continues to expand the blessings as we continue to bless others through our support.” - Helen Lee

She also speaks regularly at conferences and events, such as the IF:Gathering, MOMcon, TOV for Women, Triennial, Urbana, Missio Alliance's Awakenings, Verge Network, and the Calvin Festival of Faith and Writing, among others. She loves writing fiction and is currently working on her first middle-grade novel.
Helen co-founded the Best Christian Workplaces in 2002 to help Christian organizations improve the quality of their human resources management. She is one of the original four founding members of Redbud Writers Guild and also co-founded Ink Creative Collective.
The Redbud Hyphen podcast hosts conversations with writers, agents, editors and publishers about the intersection of culture, faith and writing. We hope you will enjoy listening in on these conversations and learning alongside us.
