"Even if it appears otherwise, the lack of grass and appearance of flowers are only shadows of the truth that has come. God is doing a new thing, making a way, at the right time." Thank you for these words!
Loved how poetic this sounded! It's that trust and faith in the Lord that helps us hold on through those winter days. This resonated with me the most:
"But the Lord of all creation is creating something here, slowly, quietly. Like the brush blooms in spring, we can’t see the work done under the surface, the growth that’s been developing over months. It’s a process that cannot be rushed or changed. It simply must be."
Love this: "Durable birds have made their way back north, expecting spring as well. Are they surprised by the storm that has come? Will they remain in what they weren’t prepared for?
The weather does not deter them; quite the opposite, they continue to call to one another from the trees, settle in for spring and summer, to a place they belong."
Thank you for your article, Sarah. God's love is like the changing seasons, always bringing new beginnings, even when we're feeling down. I'm reminded to listen to the birds and trust that good things are coming, even if I can't see them yet!
This spoke to me profoundly - Thankyou
Always holding onto hope.

I'm coming out of a deep winter myself and what a beautiful reminder this was that "Spring is coming to our souls as well."

I will forever think of the visitors to my early spring feeders as “durable birds!”
Thank you for this, Sarah. I have lived every word with you.
Beautiful, Sarah.
