Haiku for the season of transition

Flashes of blue and burnt orange— bluebirds squabble around the suet cage. Yellow milkweed with dark green stalks against a cloudy grey sky. Fields of beige wheat shimmer and shift across the hills. Squirrels with white underbellies forage for bulbs in freshly planted flower beds. Trees half-bare with red, yellow, and orange leaves. A reddish-brown frog sits under the final blossom of a white rose.
